Collective body practice in the field of Bioenergetic Analysis, on Thursdays at Espaço Mova, in Glória, in Rio de Janeiro's South Zone, 10 minutes from the metro.
with Iana Franza
The Movement Group is a collective body practice developed in the field of Bioenergetic Analysis and body-oriented psychotherapies. Through movement, breath, perception, voice, expression and relationship, the aim is to expand awareness of one's own body and to experience different ways of being with oneself, with others and with the group.
The sessions combine moments of self-perception, grounding and body mobilization exercises, exploration of space, free movement and relational proposals. More than executing a sequence of exercises, the work invites each participant to notice how the body organizes itself: where it finds support, where it holds, how it breathes, how it moves, how it occupies space and how it enters into relationship.
The Movement Group is not group psychotherapy and does not involve individual interpretation of participants' experience, nor is it a bioenergetic exercise class. It is a collective body practice with therapeutic potential, aimed at sensitization, perception, expression, vitality and the expansion of possibilities of movement and presence.
The proposals are always invitations and each person takes part at their own pace and within their own limits. Each session is a complete experience in itself, so you can join a single session. No previous experience with Bioenergetic Analysis or other body practices is needed.
Limited spots. Please wear comfortable clothes that allow movement.
Facilitation: Iana Franza, psychologist and certified Bioenergetic Analyst (CBT).
Note: Espaço Mova is a space that hosts different artistic activities. Teachers are independent and rent our rooms to offer their classes, so all sign-ups and payments are made directly with them.
